The sole basis of our beliefs is the Bible, God’s infallible written Word. We believe that it is fully inspired by the Holy Spirit, and that it is written without error in the original manuscripts. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters. We affirm our belief in basic Bible teachings, as follows:
And the Living Word, who became flesh through His miraculous conception by the Holy Spirit and His virgin birth. Hence, He is perfect deity and true humanity united in one person forever. (John 3:3)
The Old and New Testaments, inerrant as originally given, were verbally inspired by God and are a complete revelation of His will for the salvation of humankind. They constitute the divine and only rule of Christian faith and practice.
(2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:15-16)
The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent, self-revealed “I AM,” and has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association, by simultaneously existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isaiah 43:10-11; Matthew 28:19)
The Holy Spirit is a divine person(John 14:15-18), sent to indwell, guide, teach, empower the believer(John 16:13; Acts 1:8), and convince the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. (John 16:7-11)
It is the will of God that each believer should be filled with the Holy Spirit and be sanctified wholly (1 Thessalonians 5:23), being separated from sin and the world and fully dedicated to the will of God, thereby receiving power for holy living and effective service. (Acts 1:8)
Man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let us make man in our image and after our likeness.” Man, by voluntary transgression, fell, and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
(Genesis. 1:26-31; Genesis 3:17; Romans 5:12-21)
Conditions of Salvation
The Grace of God, which brings salvation, has appeared to all humankind, through the preaching of repentance toward God and through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; humankind is saved by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, and being justified by grace, has become heir of God according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 2:11; 3:5-7; Romans 10:13-15; Luke 24:47)
Evidences of Salvation
The inward evidence to the believer of personal salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence to all humankind is a life of holiness. (1 Thessalonians 4:7, 2 Timothy 1:9)
All believers should ardently expect and earnestly seek the Promise of the Father, which is the baptism in the Holy Spirit. With it comes the infilling of power for life and service, and the bestowment of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31). This experience may be distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the New Birth.
(Acts 2:38; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 15:7-9)
By the power of the Holy Spirit, we strive to obey the command, “Be ye holy, for I am holy.” Sanctification is the will of God for all believers and should be earnestly pursued by walking in obedience to God’s Word.
(Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15, 16; 1 Thessalonians 5:23, 24; 1 John 2:6)
The Church consists of all those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, are redeemed through His blood, and are born again of the Holy Spirit. Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church (Ephesians 1:22-23), which has been commissioned by Him to go into all the world as a witness, preaching the gospel to all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). The local church is a body of believers in Christ who are joined together for the worship of God, for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, the proclamation of the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. (Acts 2:41-47)
It is the Father’s will for believers to become whole, healthy and successful in all areas of life. But because of the fall, many may not receive the full benefits of God’s will while on Earth. That fact, though, should never prevent all believers from seeking the full benefits of Christ’s provision in order to better serve others.
a. Spiritual (John 3:3-11; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21; Romans 10:9-10).
b. Mental and Emotional (2 Timothy 1:7, 2:11; Philippians 4:7-8; Romans 12:2; Isaiah 26:3).
c. Physical (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24).
d. Financial (Joshua 1:8; Malachi 3:10-11; Luke 6:38; 2 Corinthians 9:6-10; Deuteronomy 28:1-14;
Psalm 34:10, 84:11; Philippians 4:19).
Divinely called and Scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for a two-fold purpose: (1) The evangelization of the world, and (2) The edification of the Body of Christ.
(Mark 16:15, 20; Ephesians 4:11-13)
God created marriage. It is a covenant made between a man and a woman that makes them one.
(Genesis 2: 22,24; Matthew 19: 5-6)
Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of all believers. (Isaiah 53:4, 5; Matthew 8:16, 17; Mark 16:18; John 5:14)
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the Lord, is imminent and is the blessed hope of the church.
(1 Thessalonians. 4:16; Roman 6:23; Titus 2:13; 1 Corinthians 15:51,52)
The revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, the salvation of national Israel, and the millennial reign of Christ on the earth are Scriptural promises and our hope.
(2 Thessalonians 1:7; Revelation 19:1l-16; Romans 11:25; Rev. 20:l-7)
The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and whosoever is not found written in the Lamb’s Book of Life shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake which burns fire and brimstone, which is the second death. (Revelation 19:20; 20:10-15)
We, as promised in the Scriptures, look for new heavens and a new earth wherein righteousness dwells.
